The Benefits of Physical Activity

Have you ever wandered the benefits of physical activity, or why it’s good to go for a run daily? Maybe you want a good health, or maybe you just want to look better, or maybe you don’t want to run or get your heart pumping. Firstly, you might think running is a waste of time but have you really thought about it? Well stay tuned in cause i’ll give you a few tips and why we really need to exercise.

Firstly, exercise improves mood and sleep, for example say you have a game today you might feel exhausted. Think back to what you did the day before. If you are like me you either played Fortnite till 2 in the morning, or you just couldn’t sleep cause you still got a lot of energy. Have you ever heard of the term “The little things matter?” those little things such as going to bed on time, eating the right food and staying away from your PS4. You may be thinking why should I listen to this guy…. Well you should listen because I was that guy who always played till midnight, sure I pushed myself not to but then when I started to sleep on time, I could feel my body is ready, and I have a lot of oxygen. Fun fact is it can also reduce stress and anxiety. Problems in these areas frequently cause or contribute to cognitive impairment.

Secondly being physically active reduces your odds of developing heart disease. The benefits of physical exercise, especially aerobic exercise, have positive effects on brain function on multiple fronts, ranging from the molecular to behavioral level.

Lastly, exercise affects the brain on multiple fronts. It increases heart rate, which pumps more oxygen to the brain. It also aids the bodily release of a plethora of hormones, all of which participate in aiding and providing a nourishing environment for the growth of brain cells.

Well there it is a few tips and answers to your questions, but If you don’t like doing the dirty work such as running and weightlifting doing household chores can count as well, such as raking the leaves, taking out the rubbish or anything else that will get your heart pumping.

Thank you guys for reading goodbye!

  1. Kia ora Jonathon, that is some great writing you are doing. Very interesting topic, and the way you started this with a question really captivated my attention.
Thanking your reader at the end is a nice thing to do too, however, in the proffessional world, you would rarely come across that at the end of an article or book. I will be going for a run this afternoon to get my daily dose of physical activity. Great work!
